Among the questions I did not get to ask: What sort of wear does this dual system entail? Or, in pilot-speak, the maintenance manhours per flight hour. Is there a separate steering system for each component? That is, if one bogie (I guess that is what they are called) falls off, is the other still workable? In case of hydraulic or other failure, can the pilot still steer the beast using brakes and differential thrust? And, my favorite, can the aircraft take off with just one wheel thingie attached?
